From my first post on this website:

For a while I have been thinking about creating my own website as a place to find me online away from social media. I have previously used Blogspot and more recently Tumblr for this purpose, but neither stuck for very long.

Hopefully by putting more effort into this site I will encourage myself to learn and write more in the future.

I’ve belatedly realised that ten years has passed since the first post on this website. That’s a bit mad to think about. It’s been an enjoyable (if infrequent) side hobby over the past few years.
